Bright Music Day

The Atlanta Symphony Brass Quintet is performing and teaching at Bright throughout the day. Parents are invited to the quintet's concert at 2 p.m. today in the Centennial Theater.

The musicians' visit is made possible by the Henry B. Aldridge '55 Music Fund for Visiting Artists, which was begun by Dr. Aldridge and classmate Fontaine Patten Moore '55 this year. The fund was inspired by Dr. Aldridge's love of music, which began when he was a student at Bright. Dr. Aldridge is emeritus professor of electronic media and film studies at Eastern Michigan University and accomplished organist.

Auction Is Live

Bid now on a huge variety of items including experiences for students such as Head of School for the Day, special activities with teachers, and a free dress day on November 3 for each grade purchased in the auction.

Message Alert System

The school will test our text message alert system again tomorrow. Please look for a text message from the school. If you have already been accepted into the system, the text you receive will say: "If you received this message, you are opted-in to the Bright School Emergency Text Alert System. Thank you." This means you do not have to take any further action.

If you are new to the message system, you will receive a text that asks you to opt in. Please respond to the text with a Y to opt in for future messages. You will not receive future messages if you do not opt in. The message system is used to notify parents of closings, delays and other unexpected changes to the schedule due to inclement weather or other issues. If you experience any difficulties, please contact Renee' Kropff.
