Make a Gift to the Bright Fund
Parents, jump in and make a splash for Bright School with a gift to the Bright Fund. You should have received a letter at home from Jennifer and Carlos Baleeiro, our Bright Fund parent chairs. No matter the size of your gift - $5, $50 or $500 - we want 100% participation from parents, faculty, staff and board of trustees to fulfill the vision of the school. When you help your children's education before August 25, they get to "jump in" with a Brazilian beach party. You may donate using the envelope you received or online on our website.
Parking Spot Auction
Bidding for the best parking spots all year ends tomorrow at 8 p.m. Go to the online auction to place your bid. The parking spots will be available to you for every event and any day or time during the school year. Bid Now
After School Classes
Sign up for after school classes begins on Registration Day. Classes begin after Labor Day. Registration forms, a schedule of classes and more information are available on the Bright Afternoons page. You may turn in registration forms and payment (checks only made payable to the instructor listed on the registration form) on Registration Day. Space is limited in the classes. Forms will be numbered in the order received.
Basketball Training
Coach Roy Pankey is offering a basketball training session on Tuesday afternoons this fall for grades 1-5. Boys and girls of all skill levels are welcome. To sign up, download the registration form and turn it in with payment of $200 to Coach Pankey.
Cross Country
Cross Country season is upon us! The team is open to boys and girls in grades 3-5. Download the registration form here and bus permission form and schedule here.
Morning Meetings on Mondays
Next Monday, August 21, will be our first Morning Meeting in the Centennial Theater for grades 1-5. These are every Monday and begin at 8 a.m. Please have your student to school by 7:45 a.m. each morning but especially on Mondays to be on time for the morning assembly.
Bright 1913 Bookstore
Welcome to the new bookstore! Bring cash, checks and credit cards to make your purchase of the new items in the bookstore. There is spirit wear, bags, hats, novelties and goodies for the little ones. A big thank you to PA bookstore volunteers Tamara Dillard and Mary Catherine Robbins.
The bookstore will be open on Registration Day and hold regular hours on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. If you would like to volunteer to work in the bookstore, visit the volunteer sign up page.

Only clothing items (shirts, jackets, etc) with the official Bright School logo (house with name) and the "Property of Bright School" sweatshirts are allowed to be worn in the classroom and at assemblies. Spirit shirts, which includes the new athletic B logo, may be worn on special t-shirt days but are not part of the uniform. Outerwear may be worn before school, during recess and after school. Belts and socks purchased at the bookstore may be worn with the uniform.
