Class Pictures Tomorrow

Pictures of each class in grades JPK-4 will be taken tomorrow morning on the concourse. Students wear uniforms for the pictures. Please have your child turn in the picture order form if you have not already done so. You may send payment with the order or order online and fill in the order number on the form. The fifth grade class pictures will be taken on Monday, April 9.

Changes to Bright Afternoon Pick Ups on Mondays

Bright School will host track meets on April 9, 16, 23 and 30. To accommodate the large number of visitors for the meets, we will alter pick up for Bright Afternoons on those days. You will pick up your child from the concourse instead of the Early Childhood Center building.

When you enter the driveway, please be ready to inform the parking attendants you are picking up from Bright Afternoons. Proceed down the first aisle in the parking lot and pull up to the concourse. Our Bright Afternoons staff will call for your child and sign him or her out. There will be no parking available on campus that day so plan to stay in the car as you drive up.

If you are attending the track meet, please park at Stuart Heights Baptist Church and ride the shuttle. Shuttles will begin at 3:45 p.m. and continue throughout the meet. The first event begins at 4:15 p.m. Admission to the meet is $3 per adult and $2 per child with a $10 family maximum.

Last Chance to Turn in Grandparents' Day Forms

Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day is coming up this year on Friday, May 4. Your child should have brought home a sheet asking for names and addresses for the school to send invitations. Please return these sheets to the office by this Wednesday. If you need to download a new form, please click here.

Fifth Grade Bake Sale on Friday

Fifth graders will be selling baked goods on Friday to raise money for their class gift to the school. Each class will visit the bake sale to make purchases. If you would like your child to purchase items, please send cash with them to school on Friday.

Bright Fit Shirt Day on Friday

Friday is another day students may wear Bright Fit shirts with uniform bottoms. Other Bright Fit shirt days are April 13 and 20. If you missed buying a shirt, there are limited quantities of sizes YS, YM, YL, XS, S, M, and L in the office for $10.

Bright Fit Week is April 16-20. Make plans now to join us for Bright Fit Night on Friday, April 20, for an evening of fun activities for the whole family. Students will have a chance to earn raffle tickets for several prizes. More details will come in a separate email next week.

Last Month for Sunshine Math

April is the last month students may participate in Sunshine Math. Worksheets for grades K-5 may be downloaded here. The completed sheets are due at the end of the month.

Bring Used Equipment for P.E.

Do you have softball or baseball equipment you or your child has outgrown or doesn't use anymore? P.E. can use it! Please bring in gloves, helmets, bats, catcher's mask and or softballs. Thank you!

Save the Date: Spring Gardening Day

Spring Gardening Day in the Early Childhood gardens is on Earth Day, April 22, from 1-2:30 p.m. As opposed to past gardening events, our focus this time will be strictly planting our spring/summer harvest. Pizza and water will be served right away for a quick lunch before the fun begins. Please send RSVPs to Mr. Greene at [email protected] to ensure enough food for all of our wonderful volunteers.

We are asking for you to please bring a special flower, plant, bush, or fruit tree for your child to plant and tend to in the coming weeks during school. If you are unable to attend but would still like to make a donation, you may send it in to Mr. Greene's classroom the week prior to Earth Day. Thank you for supporting our beautiful gardens and we hope to see you there!
