Book Fair This Week

The Book Fair is this week, from 7:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:15 a.m. to noon on Friday in the library.

Students will go with their classes during an assigned time to shop during the week, and parents and grandparents are welcome and encouraged to join them. Students will be able to shop with a parent or grandparent before or after school, as well. Paperback books start at $3.99, and some hardback books may be as much as $20. The library will receive about 40% of the proceeds from the sale.

Holiday Shopping at School

On December 19, classes will be able to stop by a Bright-inspired holiday shop to purchase gifts for parents, siblings and relatives. Items will range in price from $5-25. Parents are welcome to join students while they shop. Look in the weekly teacher emails for specific class times.

T-Shirt Day on Friday

Does your child need a sweatshirt for cooler temperatures? All sizes now available in the bookstore. Also, be prepared for the next Bright T-shirt day on Friday, December 8. There are great new shirt choices in the bookstore across from the main office, and you can view some of them on our website.

Volunteer

The bookstore is mostly open Tuesday and Thursday mornings. If you would like to volunteer to work in the bookstore, visit the volunteer sign up page.

Last Week to Bring Cans Before Break

Collection cans are set up in the main office, lobby and Early Childhood Center for your canned food donations to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. We encourage families and students to get in the habit of bringing canned goods with the practice of "buy one, bring one" or BOBO. Each time you buy a can at the store, buy another one for CAFB and bring it to school. Thank you!

Volunteers Needed for Teacher Appreciation Lunch

The Parents' Association is providing a teacher appreciation lunch for faculty and staff this Friday, December 8. During each lunch period, the PA needs parents to volunteer to take classes to lunch and monitor the students while the teachers enjoy the special luncheon. Volunteers are still needed for grades K and 2-5.

Do Not Block Driveway on McDade Lane

The driveway of 1910 McDade Lane, the first house on the right as you come toward the school, is sometimes blocked by the morning and afternoon car lines. Please leave room for our neighbors to come and go from their driveway. Thank you!
