Students will explore and create two-dimensional projects and three-dimensional sculptures. We will explore color theory and expression while focusing on adding vivid movement to each of our works. Students will create a pot or bowl using a variety of hand-building techniques, like coil or slab methods, that reflect the growth and vibrancy of the Summer season.

Get ready for a story-filled summer adventure! We’ll jump into some of our favorite books—like Pete the Cat, Dr. Seuss, Pig the Pug, and more! Each day will be packed with colorful art, silly games, make-believe fun, and plenty of outdoor exploring. We’ll sing, dance, laugh, and use our big imaginations to dream up stories of our very own!  Open to both Bright and non-Bright students!

Nature Makers Camp invites children to step outside, get creative, and let their curiosity lead the way! Campers dive into hands-on STEM and art projects—using sticks, stones, leaves, and flowers to build nature collages and one-of-a-kind creations they’ll be proud to bring home. Kids will explore campus trails, turn dirt into mud paint, try fun outdoor science experiments, and enjoy plenty of playtime in the sunshine. It’s the perfect mix of creativity, adventure, and summertime magic—designed to spark curiosity and make learning feel like pure fun.

We will explore different activities such as track, where students can practice running, jumping, and building stamina. There will also be team-building games that help students learn cooperation, communication, and good sportsmanship. Our goal is to help everyone stay healthy, build confidence, and have a great time being part of a team!

Campers will explore music through movement, performance, and composition.  Each day students can look forward to a variety of activities ranging from singing games, folk dancing, world drumming, xylophones, and ukuleles! Open to both Bright and non-Bright students!

Campers will take on more advanced STEM and art challenges—using natural materials to design nature collages, build creative structures, and craft one-of-a-kind projects they’ll be proud to share. Students will hike campus trails, experiment with outdoor science (like making mud paint and testing nature-based reactions), and enjoy plenty of active time outside. It’s the perfect blend of creativity, exploration, and real-world science—designed to spark curiosity and fuel a love for the outdoors.

If you are looking for a fun, creative, and expressive way to start off your summer vacation, check out our Art Adventures Camp. Campers will explore painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture with fun projects inspired by some of Mrs. Davis’ favorite artists like Georgia O’Keeffe, Elizabeth Murray, and Keith Haring. Students will create a variety of artworks, ranging from sculptural pieces to STEAM-inspired mixed-media works. Each day, we will have a different theme to explore and discover as we travel through a week full of art projects.

Does your child need a fun academic boost before school begins? School Readiness Camp blends learning and play as children review important literacy and numeracy skills through art projects, hands-on games, and creative activities. We’ll finish the week with a special tour of the school—visiting the woodshop, cafeteria, and theater—to help campers feel confident, comfortable, and excited for the year ahead.

Through hands-on activities, interactive read-alouds, early literacy and math fun, and plenty of joyful games, children will practice the skills they’ll use in Kindergarten—like following routines, working with friends, and trying new tasks. We’ll build independence, confidence, and a love of learning in a warm, nurturing setting. By the end of the week, your child will feel ready, comfortable, and eager to begin their Kindergarten adventure!

Backyard Biologist Camp turns the Bright campus into an outdoor science lab, where children investigate the garden, the science pond, and other natural spaces. Campers will conduct simple experiments, study life cycles, and make exciting discoveries about the world around them. This camp lets young scientists explore, question, and learn through real hands-on experiences.
