We kicked off the Thanksgiving holiday break with the annual music program. Grades PK-5 performed songs related to the states.

The program began with the fifth grade handbells playing "The Star-Spangled Banner." PK and kindergarten sang "America the Beautiful" and "Surfin' USA." First and second grades sang "California Callin'" and "Mm Montana." Third and fourth grades sang "Rocky Mountain High" and "Texas." Fifth grade, performing in its final Thanksgiving program, sang "A Heart in New York" and "Country Roads."

Fourth and fifth grade handbells performed several selections. Individual students played pieces on the piano, a 1912 Steinway donated by Henry Aldridge '55, and their guitars.

Music teacher Stephanie Bowling directed the program, and the vocals were accompanied by Karen Smith on keyboard, Matt Twitty on electric guitar, Eric Parker '89 on bass guitar and Rick Parker on percussion.
