Students and their families rose to the occasion and brought 2,118 16-ounce boxes of spaghetti to donate to the Community Kitchen.

This spaghetti will provide more than 15,000 servings to needy people in our city. The spaghetti drive was held in conjunction with the fifth grade vs. faculty basketball game. David Costello, community engagement director at the Community Kitchen, was a guest at the basketball game and spoke to students about the importance of their donations.

The students who donated the most per grade were Holden Early (JPK), Kismet Edmondson (PK), Nina Lail (K), Aolani Erskine (1), Preston Freeman (2), Colton Montgomery (3), Nina Lail (4) and Avery Levin (5), who was the overall school winner. Preston Freeman won the free-throw contest during halftime of the basketball game. Congratulations to the fifth graders for winning, 16-15!
