Begin the Process
Welcome to Bright School Admissions
We are ready to welcome you and your family to the admissions process for the 2022-23 school year. COVID-19 has changed the world, but Bright School has taken on the challenge! With new protocols in place, we are so happy to have our students, faculty and staff safely back on campus. Now is the time for you to start thinking about the process for your child for the 22-23 school year. See below for ways to get started.
Ages for Our Programs
The Bright School offers an early childhood program for preschool age children: junior pre-kindergarten (JPK), pre-kindergarten (PK), and kindergarten. Our other grades include first through fifth.
August 1 is our age cut-off date.
JPK: 3 years old
PK: 4 years old
Kindergarten: 5 years old
Future families are invited to schedule an in-person parent campus tour or a parent zoom meeting, whichever you prefer. You will see options for morning or afternoon tours and meetings. If you are applying for JPK or PK, you should choose a morning tour or zoom time, as those classes dismiss at 1:00 p.m. For in-person tours, we will social distance and wear masks.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2022-23 school year. The online application is the first step in the admissions process. Our online application is available here. The application fee is $75.
All applicants are required to submit a student recommendation form, completed by your child’s current or most recent teacher. These forms should not be completed until January 2022, at the earliest.
Please see below to download these forms:
Student Recommendation JPK, PK, K (This form is due before your child's play date.)
Student Recommendation 1-5 (This form is due before your child's classroom visit.)
For applicants in grades 1-5, we also require copies of report cards and standardized testing (if applicable).
The teacher completing the form should email it directly to Brooke Moore at [email protected].
The Bright School does not discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race, color, creed, religion, disability, ethnicity, national origin or sexual orientation in the administration of its educational policies, admissions practices, financial aid decisions or other school programs and activities.
Applicant Play Dates and Classroom Visits
JPK, PK, and K applicants will be scheduled to come for an admissions play date in early spring.
Applicants for grades 1-5 will be scheduled for a classroom visit; these visits occur in the spring.
Families will be notified of their child's admissions decision shortly after the admissions process is complete. A completed process includes: online application, parent tour or zoom meeting, student recommendation form completed by teacher, and a play date or classroom visit. If accepted, the enrollment contract is sent and a deposit (JPK: $500, PK-5: $1,000) will be due back within a couple of weeks.
Tuition payments may be made in full or through the FACTS payment plan. Lunch for grades PK-5 is included in tuition. Supply fees, which include all school supplies, and field trips are separate costs. Visit our tuition page for more information about payment plans.
Tuition for 2022-23 will be announced in January 2022.
Need-based financial aid is available for grades PK-5. An admissions application must be completed before you can apply for aid.
Visit our financial aid page to learn more about the application process.
