Begin the Process

Welcome to Bright School Admissions

We are ready to welcome you and your family to the admissions process for the 2021-22 school year. COVID-19 has changed the world, but Bright School has taken on the challenge! With new protocols in place, we are so happy to have our students, faculty and staff safely back on campus. Now is the time for you to start thinking about the process for your child for the 21-22 school year. See below for ways to get started.

Ages for Our Programs

The Bright School offers an early childhood program for preschool age children: junior pre-kindergarten (JPK), pre-kindergarten (PK), and kindergarten. Our other grades include first through fifth.

August 1 is our age cut-off date.
JPK: 3 years old
PK: 4 years old
Kindergarten: 5 years old

Campus Tours

We have recently made the decision to pause on in-person parent tours due to COVID, as the health and safety of our visitors and community is paramount. In the meantime, we are scheduling Zoom meetings in lieu of an actual visit. We hope to return to in-person visits in 2021, or as soon as the situation improves. If you are ready to schedule a Zoom meeting, please click here to select a date. Your Zoom meeting log-in information will be sent in a separate email, once you've chosen a date. Following the Zoom meeting, a link will be sent to a virtual tour experience of our school.

Admissions Process

Applications are now being accepted for the 2021-22 school year. The online application is the first step in the admissions process.  Our online application is available here. The application fee is $50.

All applicants are required to submit a student recommendation form, completed by your child’s current or most recent teacher. These forms should not be completed until January 2021, at the earliest.

Please see below to download these forms:
Student Recommendation JPK, PK, K (This form is due before your child's play date.)
Student Recommendation 1-5 (This form is due before your child's classroom visit.)

For applicants in grades 1-5, we also require copies of report cards and standardized testing (if applicable).

The teacher completing the form should email it directly to Brooke Moore at [email protected].

The Bright School does not discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race, color, creed, religion, disability, ethnicity, national origin or sexual orientation in the administration of its educational policies, admissions practices, financial aid decisions or other school programs and activities.

Applicant Play Dates and Classroom Visits

Due to COVID-19, we are currently exploring options for applicant play dates, classroom visits, and assessments for the 2021-22 school year. A decision will be announced in January.

Admissions Decisions

We make admissions decisions on a rolling basis. Parents (or guardians) will be notified of their child’s admission decision shortly after the admissions process is complete. A completed process includes the online application, parent tour, student recommendation form, and a play date/assessment or classroom visit. After acceptance, the deposit ($1,000 for PK-5 and $500 for JPK) is due with the enrollment contract two weeks after the child is accepted.

Financial Information
