Students in upper grades wrote letters and lower grades drew pictures to send to veterans and active duty military for Veterans Day. Fifth graders in shop made wooden pens to send to troops.

Students learned about veterans and active military troops and their service to our country. Students wrote letters or drew pictures to send to the non-profit "A Million Thanks," which provides support to veteran and active military men and women.

Fifth graders in shop class made wooden pens and wrote notes to soldiers in time for Veterans' Day. This is part of a program called 'Turn for Troops," which provides kits to make the pens. Students at Bright make these pens on lathes that Mr. Parks introduced a few years ago.

Thank you to our veterans and active service members!
