Third graders learned about and dressed as blacksmiths, bakers, milliners, and other tradespeople from the colonial era. Their studies culminated in the traditional Colonial Day with many activities.

Third graders learn about the colonial period in America. They are each assigned a trade, and they learn about the trade and how people lived at that time. Students gave a presentation about their trade in class.

The studies ended with Colonial Day, a fun morning of activities such as weaving, candle making, butter churning, and calligraphy. They also learned colonial games like hoops and marbles.
