In January 2006, the Bright School community came together to begin our important work on the new Bright School Strategic Plan. Trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and friends of the school took part in an open, honest, and hopeful discussion about the future of the school. The Bright School Strategic Plan is all about the commitment we make to our children's future. Any great commitment brings great challenges, but for Bright School there is no more important purpose than giving our children the skills, the values, the courage, and the wisdom to move ahead as leaders into the new world of the 21st Century.

The Plan is exciting because it puts into place those essential building blocks for providing the best education possible. The people, the programs, and the structure will come together to create the best elementary school in this region, a school that everyone views clearly as the leader in preparing young people to achieve personal fulfillment in life and the ability to make a significant difference in the world.

As parents, teachers, alumni, and friends of Bright School, all of us have a deep obligation to do all we can to insure the future success of this magnificent institution. Investing in the school is an investment in our leaders of the future.

To fund this plan we must raise approximately $2.6 million during the next five years. The funding will come from several sources including tuition, annual fund giving, and special fundraising requests.

Great dreams and great challenges are met by great commitments from us all.
