Challenge 20/20
2006 NAIS
Global Problem-Solving Teams in Action
Throughout the fall of 2006, the Association of Independent Schools will bring together teams of two schools across the world (one in the U.S. and one in another country) to collaborate in order to solve a global problem. These partnerships are being called Challenge 20/20. Based on the relationship between Bright School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Colegio Cristobal Colon in Mexico, fifth grade students from both schools have been invited by NAIS to participate in this exciting program for the fall. The schools have selected the global problem of water deficiency. They will identify the various aspects of the water deficit problem in their communities and work together to propose viable solutions. This collaboration will involve launching an awareness campaign through: Video-conferences
The Challenge 20/20 partnerships among schools across the globe will provide an excellent foundation for meaningful problem solving and cross-continent relationships that will lead to a more promising global future for our students and our schools. We at Bright are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting program! Click the link to visit our partner school, Colegio Cristobal Colon. |
