The Bright School Dress Code Updated for 2008-2009

SHIRTS

1. Button down, long or short sleeve in white, light blue, light blue stripe, pale yellow
2. Knit with collar, long or short sleeve in white, light blue, pale yellow, navy, evergreen
3. Turtleneck in white, light blue, pale yellow, navy, evergreen
4. Rugby in long or short sleeve, navy and evergreen (from Educational Outfitters,SchoolDays and More, or Lands End only)
5. Girls blouse in long or short sleeve, in white, light blue, pale yellow, piping acceptable

1. V-neck or cardigan in white, navy, evergreen
2. Vest in navy
3. Collar is required underneath

1. Crew neck in white, navy, evergreen
2. Zipper front, with or without hood in navy or evergreen
3. Collar is required underneath

1. Slacks or shorts in navy or khaki
2. Corduroy is acceptable.
3. No jeans styling or cargo pockets are permitted.
4. A brown, black, or navy belt is required when slacks have loops.

1. Tennis shoes are required daily.
2. May not leave marks on any flooring surface
3. Loafers or hiking boots are not acceptable.
4. P.E. coaches request lace-ups and velcros instead of slip ons.
5. Socks in solid white or solid navy must be visible above the shoe, and cover the ankle.

1. Culottes in official plaid only (from Educational Outfitters, and Lands End only)
2. Jumper in navy, khaki, official plaid (from Educational Outfitters, and Lands End only)
3. Skirt or skort in navy, khaki, official plaid
4. Polo style dress in navy (from Educational Outfitters, and Lands End only)
5. All items 1 thru 5 must be no shorter than fingertip length.
6. Leggings in white or navy
7. Hair bows, ribbons, headbands in white, khaki, navy, evergreen, pale yellow, light blue, official plaid

1. Visible brand name labels or logos are not acceptable
2. On assembly and graduation days (when specified), girls should wear a navy skirt or jumper and a white shirt. Boys should wear navy slacks and a white shirt. For special assemblies and programs, students may be asked to wear a dress uniform.
3. Coats may be worn in any color but only navy or evergreen are permitted for wear inside the building. It is suggested that your child keep a navy or evergreen lightweight sweater or sweatshirt at school .
4. Please label all clothing.
5. A modestly stocked used uniform closet is maintained during the school year and runs on the honor system. Contact the used uniform chairman.
