Library Check Out Information for PreK

The pre-kindergartners (Pre-K) come to the library every 6 days at which time they learn about books, their authors and illustrators, and hear some old and new stories.  They begin checking out books the week of August 30^th.

Pre-kindergarten children are allowed to take out two books at a time and keep them until their next scheduled library time.  If they forget a book, they can put books on our ‘hold’ shelf where we save them for one day.  They may come to the library the next day to return their book and check out their ‘hold’ book.  We want to make this a pleasant experience for them in order to have them begin the lifelong habit of choosing, reading and enjoying books.

The world of the little child is very busy.  Sometimes they forget to return their library books.  Please give them a special place at home to keep their library books and help them remember when their books are due.
