Fifth graders look forward each year to launching the rockets they make in science class. This year's launch was on a beautiful day with little wind and high altitudes.

Students and parents get fit this week with lots of activities for families. Bright Fit Night is Friday and brings many family-friendly vendors to school to share information.

Students in grades 3-5 submitted prose and poetry to the Youth Southern Student Writers contest, and 22 Bright students were recognized for their creativity, content and style.
