In a little more than a month, we will welcome students back to school. For their safety and the safety of faculty and staff, we are implementing a new protocol for visitors to school. All visitors will report to the main entrance.
We are partnering with Ascend by Base Camp Health to help provide a safe and healthy environment when students return to school in August. Ascend provides a secure online system that families will use every morning to log possible symptoms.
Coach Jeff McDaniel is leaving Bright School to move with his family to Florida. We welcome Bobby Gendimenico as the new P.E. instructor with Coach Ashley Linehart.
Bright School is committed to welcoming our students home in August. Other than a mandatory stay-at-home directive, we plan to come together again as a school community for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Visit our webpage to read about our plans.
As a school, we won’t shy away from our students’ tough questions, but we’ll do so in a loving and constructive manner. Our goal is to create a community that reflects what we know is just, merciful, kind, and respectful of all human beings.
We are offering several ways for our students to stay connected and engaged this summer: Bright Prep enrichment, storytime online, book clubs and summer library check out.
We ended the school year with a Parking Lot Parade. Students and teachers got to see each other in person for the last time before the summer break. What a bittersweet day it was!
During the pre-recorded Fifth Grade Recognition Day ceremony, we honored fifth graders for their achievements during the year. There are 36 recipients of the President's Education Award this year.
