Renovations of our kitchen and cafeteria were completed this summer thanks to the efforts of facilities manager Paul Davis, who oversaw all the work, and many generous donors.

The kitchen in our cafeteria had many original features from the building’s opening in 1963 and needed a complete remodel with new pipes and plumbing under the floor. New tile, stainless steel sheeting and equipment were installed this summer. These improvements give our kitchen staff more flexibility in preparing meals for 300 or more people each day.

The dining area was painted, new flooring put down, and the windows and HVAC units were replaced to update the space. We believe this area is so nice, we are changing the name from the cafeteria to the dining hall.
