The Wilderness Trail in PE takes students on a fitness journey across the U.S.A. They crawl through Mammoth Cave in Kentucky, hike along the Appalachian Trail, cruise on the New Jersey turnpike, scale the Empire State Building, surf in Florida and Hawaii, climb in the Redwood Forest and a glacier in Alaska, travel the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Montana and cross under the St. Louis Arch!

This obstacle course, which has been a staple in PE classes for several years, allows students to work on various motor skills and strength exercises while learning about each state. Set up for the course takes about eight hours and involves all kinds of props to simulate different landscapes and sites across the country. There are two zip lines and a slack line, a climbing wall and cargo net and many obstacles to climb and crawl over.

Students enjoy the Wilderness Trail as they visit PE every day of the week.
