The log cabin is now officially open and dedicated! We held a ribbon cutting with all grades watching.

The cabin, built from 150-year-old logs salvaged from a cabin in Arkansas, was made possible by the Schillhahn-Huskey Foundation, headed by parent and alumna Lauren Wolfford. Her husband, Garrett, and son, Rett, in kindergarten, had the honors of cutting the ribbon. Alumna and parent Lew Card provided the perfect musical accompaniment for such an occasion.

The cabin will be used for educational purposes as well as storage for outdoor athletic equipment. Students in shop have been making furniture to go in the cabin. And, yes, that is a skunk pelt hanging on the door, and it is good luck to rub the skunk when you go to the cabin.
