Fourth graders studying the Revolutionary War staged a debate between the Loyalists and the Patriots to decide whether to fight the British or remain a colony.
Students learn about the events leading up to the Revolutionary War in reading class. They create arguments and rebuttals to prepare for their debate. Some even wore colonial outfits to get in the spirit.
The debates were held outdoors in Peeples Pavilion, and parents could come watch.
