Pi is an important number, but it goes on forever. Our students competed to see how many digits they could memorize and recite. The school winner was fifth grader Hadley Golden, who broke her own record set last year with 520 digits. It took her nearly five minutes to recite all the digits.
The fourth grade winner and top boy in the school was Christopher Kim with 461 digits. Jack Lamar won third grade with 59 digits. Pei-Ying Olsen won second grade with 34 digits. Calvin Caputo won first grade with 54 digits, and his brother, Roger, won JPK with 53 digits. Kindergarten was a tie between Clark Anderson and Truman Jonson at six digits.
