Forty-six fifth graders graduated on Friday in a ceremony complete with the traditional playing and singing of "Country Gardens." The speaker was Mary Howard Ade '98, who is a member of the Board of Trustees and the music marketing director at the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The fifth graders prepared a special tribute, read by Grady Robbins, for teacher Beth Warren, who is leaving this year. Several alumni, faculty and staff, the current president of the Parents' Association, and a board member presented diplomas to their children.

Fifth graders Lillis Allison, Isabella Moore and Maggie Tansor presented the class gift of a compost station to Mr. Morgan. This year, the newly-formed green team led by science teacher Mrs. Nestler, started a composting program and no-waste Wednesdays in the dining hall.

Fifth graders Kennedy Doan and Andrew Hutcherson read the Spanish Orations and thanked the school and all the teachers.
